The contractor needed to bring a conduit run into an existing vault 12' deep. The conduit needed to run underneath an existing duct bank to make the connection.
The challenge that came into play was that the conduit bank was 7' from the bottom of the excavation and the contractor had a small excavator with minimal lifting capacity. DPN was able to solve the issue by using hydraulic shoring jacks along the trench that led to an aluminum shoring box outfitted with build-a-box panels and arches to straddle the existing duct run. One end of the box was up against the vault while the other end was sloped.
